It was music to his ears...literally.

The Arkansas State University Piano Society recently performed at a private recital for Dr. Frederich Stoll of Jonesboro in the College of Fine Arts. It was their way of saying, "thank you," for his support of the Department of Music over several years. Most recently, Dr. Stoll presented the department with a grand piano and a practice piano.

"Dr. Stoll has been a champion for Fine Arts at Arkansas State University," said Christy Valentine, ASU director of University Development. "The Department of Music wanted to find a special way to let him know how grateful they were for his support."

"We so appreciate Dr. Stoll," said Lauren Schack Clark, ASU assistant professor of piano and keyboard area coordinator. "This recital gave our students the chance to give something of themselves--their talent--to express their gratitude."

Works by Mozart, Calude Debussy, Franci Poulenc, Franz Liszt and Alexander Scriabin were performed during the recital.
