More than 200
runners and walkers, ranging in ages from nine years to 65-plus, enjoyed the
beautiful early March weather on the Arkansas State University campus and
contributed to the General Scholarship Fund in the ASU Foundation's Campus
Quick 5K on Saturday, March 10.
The race was the third event in the 2007 Northeast
Arkansas Running/Walking series. A pancake breakfast greeted the finishers
following the race.
"We are so pleased with the community's participation
in this event," said Christy Brecklein, ASU development officer and
coordinator of the race. "Scholarships are one of the most meaningful ways
to support students at Arkansas State University and the proceeds of this
event will support the scholarship effort. We had great weather and a group
of really great volunteers, which made the event even more successful."
